Beginning this week, the Parks Department’s Forestry crew is pruning trees in Blackstone Boulevard Park between Mount and Rochambeau Avenues. The work will be spread over several days, as the foresters are working on other projects and may also need to take care of unexpected downed limbs and such elsewhere.
Please take care as you walk or run in this area – you will need to make minor detours off the path around the crews and their equipment.
Pruning the trees now will improve their health, and protect them from construction equipment later in the year. Stay tuned for exciting news on this last point soon!
