A huge thank-you for volunteering on Sunday, November 15, at Blackstone Park! It was incredibly heartening to see such a great mix of returning volunteers and first-timers join the effort to care for the park. I had a great time, and I hope you all did as well.
We accomplished a lot – stabilizing the sloped trails, defining other trails and, hopefully, closing still other trails. Your work puts the Loring “parklet” in a very good place for the winter and beyond, and we are so grateful. Adding to the project, we had a contractor install erosion-control bales of straw along some of the most endangered areas of the bluff. If you visit the park again you can’t miss them.
