Summer may be over, but the full moon will still rise in silver splendor over the Seekonk River on Saturday, September 17th, and we’re inviting you to come to Blackstone Field to watch it rise with us. We’ll gather at 6:00 and fill the time until the moon rises with live music, field games, and a moon inspired craft activity for the kids. Make it a picnic and bring your dinner or snacks. At approximately 7:45, we’ll greet the moon as our ancestors have for millennia gone by–dancing and singing, howling or chanting will be expected and encouraged! We suggest you bring a blanket or chairs, insect repellent, flashlights, and for the literary part of the program, please bring a copy of your favorite poem or short piece about the moon to share with others. See you there!
