We are delighted to inform you that a SNEP Grant will help carry on the work at the south end of Blackstone Boulevard. The Blackstone Parks Gateway is a project that aims to slow and filter stormwater runoff, improve safety, and enhance aesthetics and park character at the southern end of Blackstone Boulevard.
Senator Jack Reed will formally announce all seven Rhode Island SNEP Grant recipients at a special event on Thursday Sept. 5th at 11 a.m. in Blackstone Field – across from the Narragansett Boat Club (2 River Drive). Senator Reed will be joined by Congressman Gabe Amo, Mayor Brett Smiley, and Councilwoman Helen Anthony, along with regional enviromental officials. Following the speaking program, there will be conversation with grantees and tech assistance recipients, as well as a walking tour of the York Pond area.
