MoonRise 2023: Warm temperatures, a clear sky and no mosquitoes! It all added up to a rare perfect night to watch the moon rise over the Seekonk, where there was an array of telescopes and binoculars—supplied by the Skyscrapers and Peter Wilhelm–waiting to make the moon larger than life. In the background, Joe’s Backyard Band played on, including a beautiful version of “Shine on, Harvest Moon”. People of all ages from all over the city gathered to watch an awe inspiring event, the rising moon. An added bonus: spotting Saturn and Neptune (and their moons) through the SkyScrapers’ powerful scopes. Stay tuned for the next Moonrise dates. (Photos: Carrie Drake)
