The Blackstone Parks Conservancy is presenting two concerts this week.
Our annual concert series at the Blackstone Boulevard Trolley Shelter starts this Thursday, July 11th at 6 p.m. with Ms. Wensday. The Trolley Shelter is on Blackstone Boulevard, near the intersection with Elmgrove Avenue.
At Blackstone Field this Sunday at 6 p.m., Srinivas Reddy (sitar) and Ajit Acharya (tabla) will perform a medley of early evening ragas set to a variety of talas in the Hindustani tradition, which is unique in its rich blend of Indian and Islamic aesthetics. Blackstone Field is located across from the Narragansett Boat Club (2 River Rd. aka River Dr., Providence, RI 02906).
