We love our volunteers. Without them, we could never do the varied work that enhances the  Parks Department’s heavy labor in our parks.

Volunteers make inventories; remove invasive plants from the Boulevard and the Conservation District; plant bulbs, perennials, shrubs and trees (nurserymen planted most of the big trees, but several dozen were Arbor Day donations or came from back yard nurseries); mulch trails and build fences in the woods; pick up trash on the Boulevard and in the Conservation District; clear sidewalks of sediment; care for the south end garden, and more. A volunteer created our first website.

Whether you have a strong back and a love of using tools, time for picking up trash and weeding, or a professional skill that you can donate, we need your help to continue our community work. Visit our website for volunteer opportunities that appeal to you.
