Mosquito-borne diseases such as WNV and EEEV are endemic to Rhode Island. Data from the RI Health Department of Health indicate the risk of these diseases in October is minimal. To further minimize risk, they recommend the application of an EPA approved-repellent before MoonRise. The Blackstone Parks Conservancy assumes no liability for mosquito-borne diseases.
